first of all, use the search button.. second of all, what do you need a supercharger or turbo for at 18s yrs old? you need to do A LOT more research if you're planning on going either of those routes. Check my350z.com out for a lot of the FI information is more detailed

This thread should get interesting.

Besides that, sounds like you have your mind pretty made up on a G. It's a great car, you'll absolutely love it. If you want something fast go with the STI or Evo, more power, more mod friendly. They both have AWD as well which is a big help with all the snow we get up here.

If you want my honest opinion however, I think you should buy a beater car.. maybe an older civic or a jeep or something to drive for a year or so. I can't tell you how many kids I've seen wreck their brand new cars because they just got their license and didn't know how to handle it.

You've now confirmed what I said above. Buy a junker to drive around for a while then get into something fast. My guess is that car won't last 3 months with you behind the wheel.

Thats why you need to stay alive? I think you're contradicting your first statement there killer.

 

i swear some of you just must hate the fact that some 18 years own or can afford a G35. I own a G35 coupe with a 6 speed manual etc etc. and have not crashed or come close to that. thing is, is I saved up for the car for 3 years and paid complete cash for it. - so i respect my own property, and know that its my lose should i crash it.

Yes i understand some 18 year olds are a bit hard on car and don't understand how to control them, but the ones that often save up and spend there own money on them know what there doing, and drive much saflier (if thats a word) then the average 18 year old.

My car has now made it 3 months without a single accident or scratch or door ding. I rarely take the revs beyond 4K and my last oil change was done after 2.5K miles, and i have already done as much preventitive maintenance as possible (coolant, diff, tranny flush).

Thing is, is everyone has been pretty nice to me, but only cause most of you don't know my age.

If it were up to me, i'd say go for it, buy a G35, there beautiful cars, fast cars, and the girls even look at you. although at this age be careful, if you want to go to school like i did, make sure you leave yourself some money to pay for that.

Also, don't ream on the car unless your planning an engine overhaul, and don't speed in bad conditions; a 22 year old (not 18 year old) crashed a G coupe in my city, it was all over the news, he was drunk supposively and doing around 95 MPH or more in snowy conditions, he and another died, the other two are still in the hospital i believe. I drove that day, and i will tell you that i was sliding out sitting at 2K rpms and 30 mph on snow tires.
