check engine light code P2135

okay so a few weeks ago i drove out to get something when i came back to my car to try to start it like half started then died. happened like two more times then finally started with the engine service soon light on. ever since then i have had NO problems with starting the car and it runs fine. though the light is still on.

so i just got my actron pocketscan plus and plugged it in and this is what came up:

P2135
MIL ON
MONITORS
0 INC
7 Ready
Misfire
Fuel
Comp
Catlyst
Evap
02 Snsr
02 Htr

not sure what to make of this. any help would be appreciated!

nope none of those lights on. what's an "app code?" what's wrong with the accelerator pedal?

The code should start with a 0 and have 3 variable digits. "135" = O2 sensor heater circuit manfunction (bank one sensor one).

Throttle position sensor
circuit range/performance
problem
Rationally incorrect voltage is sent to ECM
compared with the signals from TP sensor 1
and TP sensor 2.
 Harness or connector
(TP sensor 1 and 2 circuit is open or
shorted.)
(APP sensor 2 circuit is shorted.)
 Electric throttle control actuator
(TP sensor 1 and 2)
 Accelerator pedal position sensor
(APP sensor 2)
Engine operation condition in fail-safe mode
ECM controls the electric throttle control actuator in regulating the throttle opening in order for the idle position to be within +10
degrees.
ECM regulates the opening speed of the throttle valve to be slower than the normal condition.
So, the acceleration will be poor.

Above is what the service manual for a 2004 G35 states. Don't know what year you have or if it applies to it.

its electronic.......they do go out occasionally. more so the actual throttle body assembly itself though but if it did it would throw the slip vdc and brake lights and you'd have like no acceleration....

Auto Zone gives free diagnostic checks with exact codes and print out of causes to the problem to fix it. I do my own maintenance and i go to them when my "service engine soon light" comes on. Until I get my own Consult 2.
