i know 19's look great on the ride but i sometimes think the ride gets a little harsh. wonder if going to 18's with a large side profile make a big difference is smoothing out the bumps.
Having gone from 18" to 19" I did notice a difference in ride, but not too harsh. Running the correct tire pressure also helps, my tire installer wanted to put 40 PSI in my 19s and I told him I'd compromise and had him do 37 PSI. I would never go with 20" due to the very small 30 series sidewall. Potholes on our freeways would kill 20" wheels....and do!

If you kept the same aspect ratio of your sidewall, you won't notice much difference. When you drop to a 30-35 aspect ratio, you really start to feel it. Rides like it's on steel tires. I have 245 40 19's and I feel it just a bit. It was the D-spec shocks that made the biggest difference in ride harshness.
I went from 18's to 19's and lost ride quality I think because of factory profile is 45 all around with the 18's and the 19's I'm running 35 f/30 r profile. Or it could be that I need some max comfort coilovers rather than Tein springs.
I went from 18 to 20 and I honestly was surprised that it wasn't so bad. I was expecting it to be much more harsh yet it was just barely harsher.

Funny you ask. I just installed my 19" rays last night. I had the base model 17s on before, and i definately feel bumps a LOT more. But then again I am running 35 series tires up front.
four from full hard.
