Need help, just mounted my rims and looking for some advice.

So after a long wait (roughly 5 months) my Work GNosis GS2s came in. =)

Needless to say, I am very happy with the fitment and the look. My problem is rims have thrown either my TPMS or VDC out of whack when driving. Before, I had a set of Volk SF-Challenges and my VDC would trip out at about 60-70 mph - the "slip" light would come on and my car felt like it was taking over when i accelerated. I would have to let up on the gas pedal a little and step on the brake to get it to stop. After putting the OEMs back on I didnt experience this problem but now that I have the Works on, its been occuring again. Only this time, the "slip" light kicks in at about 30-40 mph.

Bottom line is that I'm looking for a solution to make this stop. Anyone ever experienced this problem when running aftermarket wheels? any info will help. i figured there are plenty of wheel gurus out there who might have the answer to this question.

dent-age (no bueno) =(:

MORE INFO on my setup just in case that factors into my problem:
Tein S-Techz
350z struts
20x9.5 +10 front, 20x10.5 +12 rear - no spacers.
245/35/20, 255/35/20.

I don't really notice any other indicators. just the "slip" light. I'm thinking that the wheels are causing the TPMS some problems which, in turn, is causing the VDC to act up? I may be wrong but I've researched the slip light on the forums and have tried every other option that could be the solution (new rotors, brake fluid, etc) and nothing seems to work.

I think maybe your front tires are too big. What sizes are your tires. There has been threads about this. I believe the front tires have to be a bit smaller than the rear, whatever the OEM ratio is. Hope this helps. . .

^Try switching to a 30 size tire. The link below should help

Great looking rims, nice coupe. (less the dent) I don't believe the difference between a 35" & 30" width would make you slip light come on. I don't know for sure what the answer is, try asking www.infinitihelp.com maybe they know the cause....G/L

your most likely having a problem because your outside diameter of your wheels are very different than the stock OD. I would look into running different tire sizes. possibly a 30 series.
the wheels are sick though!

you got the wrong tire sizes so it's throwing the lights. the correct sizes are 255/30/20 front and 285/30/20 rear. This is the closest match to stock diamater.

I am dropped... in these pics, my car wasnt quite settled yet. I debated on whether or not to go lower but i have skirts and a front bumper that I havent installed yet so i had to factor that in because the roads around here are terrible.

but arent there plenty people out there running stretched tires? i tried to model my setup based on another member's varianza T1S setup... I think his s/n was "jlin015" or something like that. i believe his offsets were +15 all around and his tire sizes were the same as mine? i could be wrong though...

i think the dent came from some little kids playing baseball in the streets with an actual hardball. clearly, its too big to be a doorcheck and theres no paint chipping so its not another car hitting me in the parking lot or anything. i wanted to dropkick one of them but I didnt see exactly which kid caused it, otherwise I would've asked their parents to pay for the dent removal.

Not related to your problem, but it looks like your tires on the rear (at least in one picture, #5) are on backwards (the rotation direction looks wrong).

Also, your problem may be too tall a tire size, if you were after the "stretched" look, the fronts would probably be 225/30

Most people that run 20"s use a tire thats 30mm tall because the circumference of the tire is closer to stock specs, which won't mess with the computer.
