Before anyone yells, yes I did the SEARCH. (with no results?)

My wife just bought a '07 base sedan (not sport) w/ 37k miles. Her first road trip was a painful experience. 500+ miles and any time she tried to use the cruise control it acted like it couldn't find the right gear- nothing smooth at all. A lot of jerking back and forth- she described it as like being in a boat crossing swells.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

It sounds like your car is still under warranty. If it is, take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

I have never heard of an issue like this.

That's a new one to me also.
