Maybe I suck at searching? Maybe I don't... But I didn't even find my answer on google.. I've seen completely shot sunroofs, but not the same issue as mine!

Issue is, I can tilt it, i can open it, no problems what so ever.. Then when it comes to closing it, i have to tap it a buncha times and hold it down when it starts to i guess emergency close? I tried cleaning **** if it were being stopped by a sensor of some sort, maybe i'm missing a spot that i dont see? Any ideas?

 

i think im having the same issue. Its a 05 G35 coupe.. just hit 70k miles and it started doing this weird thing.. Opens smooth, then i go to close it and it slides 1" then slides back to open, i push close again and same thing.. i have to hold the close button and it closes 3" at a time.. Is yours still doing this? Thanks

Dangit! supposedly theres an auto return if theres an obstruction.. maybe dirt? idk.. maybe ill inspect a little better tomorrow.. i knew i should have sold before 70k.. here come the issues..

 

Haha i cleaned the living **** out of mine, well the dead **** too.. like dirt.. regreased it, nadda!
