what mods do i need to beat a m3? because my friend with a m3 just keeps talking smack about how slow g35s are and i want to show him up so hell stop talkin smack.

Turbo or supercharger. If you look at the 1/4 mile times the M3 & G35c put up at the track, I'd say it's pretty close to impossible (assuming M3 driver knows when to shift) to beat an M3 coupe w/ a G35c unless you have a turbo or SC. They're usually around a full second faster in the 1/4 mile.

Intake, Exhaust, 50 shot of juice that ought to do it, and youve only spent 2k....M3s cost a lot more than that. Put it this way, If you made up the difference in cost between the two cars as mods on yours, you would eat him for lunch!!!

The quality and tuning of the M3 engine versus our OEM VQ is uncomparable. He's right, the G is a pretty slow car. The M series 3.2L I6 engine has an excellent power output, not to mention individual throttle bodies.

you'll need a #&$%load of mods to beat a m3 if your planning to go N/A. My guess would be intake, plenum, exhaust, headers, catz, camshaft, cam gear, lightweight flywheels, crank pulley, fuel injectors, spark plugs, grounding wires, ts Ecu reflash (custom), tires that grip like the pilot sport 2. and somethin to drop the weight down a little bit, maybe like a carbon fiber hood. Then u'll have a chance, however if he drives better he can still beat u. Thats if u want to go N/A. or you can just run FI. =D However to be more confident you should do major engine modifications along with the mods i just named u. Then u should be able to confidently beat a m3 without a doubt.

 

the main point is, m3 is 70gs, g35 is 30gs. of course the m3 is gonna spank cuz the person paided for it. but if u do put the difference in price into mods, u would be the baddest thing on the street right now and no regular M3 could compete along wit a list of other expensive fast cars.

Well an EVO 8 comes cheaper and faster than a G35. So that's not very logical math. You're paying for the BMW engineering, the name, and the DAMN-factor when you buy an M3. It's really worth it if you got the cash.

You know...I traded a 740il for my G, and let me tell you that the "DAMN-factor" goes a little like "Damn this thing costs a lot to fix."

Go with a G35, strap on a blower, feed her some nitrous, find an M3, put your money where your mouth is, YOULL WIN

exhaust, hi-flow cats, header, intake, pulley kit, plenum, ecu and cams should do the trick. Although...with the money that you're spending to go n/a, a supercharger would be a better idea. A supercharged g35 will smoke an M3 anyday. =)

Just a reminder, turbo or SC will likely void your warranty. You may also encounter problems, so it's best not to be cheap on the install (ie have it done by a reputable place, not just some place that'll give you the cheapest price).

 

Evo8's are best served steamed. That bucket of rice is no where near a g35. Ya so it is fast . Great 5 points of speed. But negative 10 for looks and an extra negative 10 because it is a Mitsubishi. I wonder which will last longer, the Evo 8 or my Mitsubishi Tv, I am looking at now. And yes m3 are fast, but with all that money you spent, you could have bought a brain....just my two cents
