Car not starting, alarm? vehicle immobilizer system?

Car wont start. Lights turn on and everything, and there is no clicking noise.

I called AAA and they said it wasn't the battery, and its probably the cars alarm that wont let it start, i disconnected the battery recently.

I looked through the manual and the best explanation I got was the "Infiniti Vehicle Immobilizer System". The procedures to reset it didn't work.

Any ideas? I'd really appreciate it.

One way to bypass the Alarm is to take off the Positive on the Battery, Have someone holding that wire while you Start the car, While you are starting the car, have the person outside put the Cable back onto the Positive Battery Terminal. Hope this helps.

I unhooked the battery to see if I could reset it, It didnt work. I called the dealer and they said to unlock and relock the doors with the key, that didnt work either.

I towed it to the shop and it turned out being the clutch sensor. Something that I wasnt expecting.

But I appreciate the help guys

I have the exact same problem, and am so glad I found this thread.

What is the pricing for replacing the clutch censor at the Infinite dealership?

Regards,
Josh

How do you disconnect the alarm/immobilizer function?

Mine is really starting to make me angry. I have had little issues here and there for some time and now this! I love my G35 coupe, but dang it I am frustrated. Any assistance?

If its NATS (Nissan Anti Theft System) you can disable it with an Uprev reflash, lots of guys do this when then get tuned so that they can use unprogrammed keys (Its like $200 just to reprogram the key at the dealer). You can't just mechanically disable it though. PM me if you want to give it a try, I've done it many times

Im interested in this. swapped a new vq in my g35 after i spun a bearing at the track. engine was out of a 05 350z performance which from everything i could find its non rev up. issue is i didnt know there was a difference in 350z harness vs g35 well besides the o2 sensor plugs being different, missing a plug for ac and an extra plug in by the ecu which i believe is for the oil gauge, and that the ecu plug is pinned out different. i tried to start the car using the 350z harness and no fuel pump prime and no spark. took that harness off and went back to the original g35 one. fuel pump primes and it turns over just no spark which i believe is from the security system. (red light stays solid when key turns to "ON" position.

Also my car is not 100% together some interior stuff is unplugged and the very front body harness. everythign on the engine and trans is all plugged in.

i need some help as i was trying to make the two day season closer drift event!!!!!
