Washing the coupe
Re: Washing the coupe
Well, what I'd do if I was you is find someone that you know that owns a house/condo that has a hose outside. You don't have to clean your car all the time, just once in a while. As long as you wipe down your car everyday with a damp microfiber towel (wring it good!) or with something like Quik Detail from Meguiar's, you should be good for a long time until you need to wash again. Good luck with your washes!

Yeah JustICE, I do. I wash my car on the weekends and wipe down the car twice a day on the weekdays. I have 3 coats of nanowax on currently. I might do another coat this weekend before the meet..

It's a product from Eagle One. They used nanotechnology to create this wax so that the wax particles are smaller. You can probably get it at any local auto shop (Auto Barn, Strauss, Autozone, etc). I put away my Zaino to try this!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH! EVER! Only the touch free car washes are ok but watch out for any guide rail they may use if it is made out of bare metal. It may scratch your rims.

Buy your own cleaning mitts, everything you would buy if you were doing it yourself, and try to find a hand car wash in your area. May be easier said then done in your area, who knows. If you go to hand wash, I am sure they wouldn't mind using your soap, mitts, bucket etc with their FRESH, CLEAN water. Throw the guys a couple extra bucks tips and you should be aight!

Yeah stay away from all automatic car washes, even touchless. Those detergents are harsh .
When I lived in an apartment, usually what I did was buy a wash-mit, a bucket, and some soap. Then I went to one of those do-it-yourself wash places. The kind with the sprayer and such. Except, I didn't use their soap, or any of their equipment, other than their sprayer. I used the sprayer to fill my bucket, and I hand washed my car. Then I used the sprayer on the "low" setting to rinse the car.
I used to go there on my lunch break, since it was near my work at the time...
When I was in college, one of my friends would pull their car up to the free air/water dispensers at a gas station, and fill a bucket with the water hose with some soap, and wash their car in the stall. Then they would use the water hose to rinse their car down...
