Well i had a 300c (with hemi) pull up to me @ at two red lights.First red light i didn't think he would go, and he got the jump, and kept a 2 car lead till 70..Second red light switched over to manual shift mode, brake torque a bit..and that 300c just jumped off the line..I was like HOLY CRAP 2 cars lengths again till ~70 !!! I'am so sick of this AT, there is so much LAG off the LINE, unless i break torque the crap out of the AT it just doesn't GO...I going to trade in my AT for a 05 MT..Anway, I have a 03.5 g35 coupe with some mods (high flow cats, Ztube and pop charger) What do you guys think ???

i do sound like the two people in the hemi commercial I got smacked down by the HEMI..time for a 05 MT for me..Seriously though i can't stand the Lag off the line of the AT anymore..

I will tell you, 6MT or not, the 300C is probably still going to walk you on a stop light street race. And next year, when their 6.0 litre SRT-8, 400+HP version comes out, unless you're FI, we're all going to get walked.

An extra 2.2 liters [135 cubic inches] usually results in these kind of comparisons/results.

Honestly, I have friends with both the Magnum and the 300C both with Hemis and I beat them every time. I have a BONE stock 6MT. 60 extra hp or not, the Magnum runs a 6.2sec to 6.4sec 0-60, not very impressive. I don't smoke them but I beat them by enough that they get pissed... Personally I have no idea why anyone would pay the money they did for those cars. They could be driving track edition Z's or 6MT G's but they like that Hemi.

I have found that brake torquing when hot will produce more lag. I don't get the lag that you have stated with your AT, have you tried resetting the ECU? your mods may also play a part in low end lag.

Kahboom, Yeah did the reset like a week ago..The lag feels like there is no go off the line (hesitation 2 seconds and rpms move slowly till 2800 and then BAMM) I'am going to the dealer today and having them check the TCU, but i bet it's 31036-AL013 since it was built in June 03. I suppose the mods might have something to with it ?? I have heard similar complaints of LAG on the this board, with no true resolution..
