ive had it w/ my G

i picked up my 04 g35 back last october from Harte Infiniti in CT. i was extremely happy with it for the first few months, then i had problem after problem.

it started off with the window situation that many talk about, then my tire pressure gauge stayed on all the time "with all tires same psi". then some girl backed into my car. i had it fixed at Harte Infiniti and they did the worst job possible " took then 4 days to replace the rear quarter panel" got the car back with overspray all over the car along with the trim missing. so i brought it back 3 more times after that so they could buff it out "they did a crappy job the first 2 times".

then i had to bring it in again because my transmition 6mt was making these funky noises "they cant figure out the problem".

And so last night we had a big rain storm over here. ususally i keep my car inside but i left it out that night. i woke up this morning and got in my car played my system "1 12" L7, Line Driver, RF 800.1, all in a custom box" the system kept shutting off on me. i was drving and hear sparks. i pull over a.s.a.p. pop my trunk i have 2 INCHES of water sitting in my trunk, shorted out my entire system, along with the rear speakers. the water leaked threw the panel where the rear speakers are somehow.

ive had it with my car, and if they dont replace my system then im going to call my leasing company and there getting the car back because it hasnt even been a year and the car only has 7,000 miles on it and this is B.S.

sorry the post was so long, had to vent myself. anyone agree with me that my car is deffected and i should now keep it? thanks.

Egck, sorry to hear this... but it seems that the problems that arose aren't just because of the G35 (ie: windows, pressure etc).. but rather because fo a few misfortunes =)

THe car loves you! It's just that you're bumping into the wrong things at the wrong time. It'll be all good soon :-D

Re: ive had it w/ my G

yea but see it seems that theres something wrong with it everytime i get another thing fixed, and half the problems they cant figure out. and about the water in the trunk, i spoke to the general manager and he said " it may be a permanent thing because of the accident" well if thats true, then they obviously didnt fix it like they were suposed to, i mean what am i not suposed to put anything in my trunk anymore, and i nobody said anything to me about it. monday morning im going there and showing them my recepts for my system...

1 12" Kicker L7
Audio Control Line Driver
RF 800.1
line out converter
Wire kit
custom enclosure
installation
Total = $$1,791$$

plus my car needs new rear Bose speakers because those shorted out also

not to mention there gona have to fix the leak.

Yea man i feel u. I am encountering problem after problem as well. First my brake pads, then warped rotors, then rattling in right door, then missing engine cover when i got it serviced, tire pressure light always on. ive only had my car for 3 months too. ridiculous i know...but every car isnt perfect. you will encounter problems with even the best auto makers (bmw, benz, etc.).

Cookielover - I'm with you there big time! I have always owned Toyotas (& Lexus) and have NEVER had a problem (Still have a 4Runner with 179,000 miles on the ORIGNAL brake pads that still have life left!). Then I went Euro for a few years -nothing but costly problems... Then I got the G which I expected to be a breath of fresh air being built by a premium Japanese manufacturer but I've had the car for 6 weeks and it's been back to the dealer 3 times... not cool.

Not necessarily. Friend of mine bought a Toyota Solara and he's having all kinds of annoying little problems too. His e-brake doesn't work right, his door isn't aligned right, causing popping and creaking, his moonroof is warped causing it to be annoyingly loud when he opens and closes it and the car has rattles everywhere. Worst of all the dealer that he bought it from treats him like sh*t when he wants to get things fixed. The grass isn't always greener.

Not all manufacturers give you any car to drive. Just thank your lucky stars that Infiniti at least gives you a car when your's is in.Don't complain about the make.

Re: ive had it w/ my G

that sucks big floppy donkey d***. i've had my car 4 months now, and the only problem was a flat tire, but i can only kick myself in the ***. lately i've had some window streaks, but nothing i can't fix myself, and it's only happened twice. maybe you got a car that was made on a friday or a monday. i've heard statistically cars made on friday and monday had more problems, cause the people want to go home, or just have a case of the monday's. keep us informed of how things are this time at the dealer. good luck
