How good are these tires?

I'm looking to buy some tires for my stock 17" and I came across these. I'm looking to buy a not so expensive set and was wondering about these:

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...Form&rc=CAOINT

How good is the Nitto brand? Has anybody had any bad experience with them? Is the price worth the purchase? Are there any other brand of tires at a reasonable price recommended for a 2006 G coupe 17"?

Go to www.tirerack.com and check out Hankook Ventus tires. I have Falkens' on my G and I love them. When I replace them it will be with either Michelin PS2's or Hankook tires. Much better tire for the money.

Hankook is great for the price, Michelin is just a great brand but expensive, i had Falken 452's and they were pretty good i also had Toyo t1r and they were pretty good in the rain.

Hancock will be my next set

as for NITTO they are a great performance tire from what iv read

I'm running Nitto NT 555's 18" and i have nothing bad to same about them at all. I've never lost control of my '06 coupe on them and they feel as if they grip the road great! At times when the streets are wet you may not get full traction during take off, but that's the same with every tire.

Nitto tires should work all right, wear rating could get you close to 25K miles before they need to be replaced. That depends on your driving habits and if your alignment is set to factory specs.

Your car is only as good as your tires so, spend a little extra if you have to to get the right kind.

I have the Hankook Ventus V4s on the rears with 17s. I paid around $95 a tire and after 7,000 miles am figuring to get about 14,000 miles out of them. For a little over $200 I can't go wrong. They are very quiet, and great in the rain. Handling is fair, but I'm a conservative driver.

The Nitto line is very good. There new NT850 with a 500AAA rating is very good product. I have been selling Nitto for some years now very good bank for the buck. Not a big fan of the Hankooks get a lot of complaints noise and wet traction seems to be the biggest ones. Kuhmo is a brand to look at do very well with the local Porsche club all they buy.
