I normally keep mine on unless I'm driving a little spirited.

I have mine on as well, feels safer.

The system intrudes too much on my spirited runs. Even with the VDC off, the stability control kicks in too much for my liking. It kills my brake pads.

I disconnected the stability control unit in my car and I love the way it drives now. You can feel the car better.

If you take the plastic off from under the steering wheel there is a black box with a switch turn it off and when you start you car the VDC will always be off.

VDC saved my car and my life.

I used to complain about it too.. not anymore thats for sure. Be glad we have it. And its a luxury car for cryin out loud.

I have a question but I am not sure if it is related to VDC or not.
Some time when I stop on a red light or a roadway and there is a bump the car tends to swerv in that direction. This is like someone taking the stearing wheel from your hands and rotating it in that direction. This thing happens only when there is a bump on the road. It happen yesterday and it scared the bejesus out of me because I was very close to a big truck and I thought I was going to hit it.
I went to my mechanik, cheked tires, cheked everything but he couldn'd find anything wrong with the car. I just got the car 1 month ago. Prior I was driving a Audi A6 2005 and never had this problem. Is this normal?

it doesnt go off when you push the button. it just lets you have a lil more fun. i alwasy have to restart my car when im having fun because after wards my vdc and slip light are on even tho i turned it off.

there is a thread on here about disableing the yaw sensor. thats how you really turn off the vdc.

seen lots of G's come and go due to driving with VDC off. it doesnt go completely off but enough to let you do what you want for the most part.

I first noticed the VDC nanny mode when I was making a sharp right hand turn into heavy traffic and it killed the acceleration and stopped the rear end from coming around, so I was pointed at an angle to traffic and not accelerating up to speed with the flow of traffic! I had to crank the wheel even farther, let off the accelerator, hit the accelerator and then correct the wheel back the other direction. This was on dry roads with fairly new tires, and was a normal traffic maneuver!

I'm seriously considering putting the yaw disable on my list of things to do. At the very least the VDC always off unit from kptechnologies.

stability control is way too unsafe

Only time I take it off is when I am going straight. Other than that I really don't have a reason to turn it on, because it isn't like I am trying to drive like an idiot in traffic.
