need Tire Size advice please

I know very little about tires. Please offer your advice/expertise.

Should I stick with current sizes? Or go for a lower profile, and WHY?
(thanks!)

i'm currently running:
F: 245 / 40 / 19
R: 275 / 35 / 19

On my car:

should i run 35's in the front and 30's in the rear?

I like the way it looks now. I've never been a fan of low profile tires. My advice; keep as is.

I never heard of a 274 width before.
The lower the profile, the easier it is to blow out the tires due to crappy roads. Just stick with what you got.

how can we help, if we dont know what your future plans are?

do plan on droping the car? if so how much of a drop you're considering?
do you want the stretched look?

tire size you have now is the most common tire size.

edit noticed you have 40 wall.. it should be 35 wall

........ that may be because he posted 275s! LOL
You can keep the tire size you're using or go with 35s front and back, not a lot of difference.

Actually you should be running 35's in the front...by running 40's you're using a taller tire than the factory and your speedometer could be off...but stick with waht you have....super thin tires are great for show...but you can bend a rim so easily...protect your rims!

PS I'm running the same tire sizes (35's front and rear) on the stock rims

It won't affect the speedo, because the speedo is connected to the drive wheels, ie, the rear wheels...

But yeah, you should be running 35's in the front if you want to stay closer to the stock rolling size for VDC purposes...

Use this tire calculator. http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp
You can compare tire sizes. You don't want to stray too far from the original diameter or you can affect the traction control slip sensor. The original setup for 19" is:
Front 8"x19" wheel with 30 offset, 225/40r19 tire
Rear 8.5"x19" wheel with 33 offset 245/40r19 tire
