Something odd happened today... could just be the battery.
So I left for work this morning and everything was fine. The car (2005 coupe) started right up as usual. When I got to work and got out of the car, I closed the door and hit the lock button on my remote. This locked the doors but set the horn off. Not the usual short beep, but a nonstop honk. I hit the panic button to try and turn it off, but no luck. It finally turned off when I put the key in the ignition and switched it to the on position. I thought it was some random thing, but when I left work the battery was drained. I had to get a jump. Then when I got home, I hit the lock button again and the same thing happened with the horn. So what do you guys think, is it just a bad battery or something more sinister?
A short? Something is keeping the horn on and draining the battery. I don't know why the horn wouldn't actually be on, though. But something with the horn is definitely draining the battery

I talked to my local Infiniti dealership and the service guy said it could be a problem with the door lock actuator. I was having problems with it a few weeks ago, but it hasnt happened in a while. I hope that is not the problem though as the part is somewhere in the $500 range I'm told.
Did you recently punch your steering wheel in a fit of anger while driving.... perhaps as a result of being cut off on the roadway by a ruthless Honda Civic or BMW driver?
