Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

"Does anyone know if the Performance Tire and wheel package that you can get on the 05 with the (7-spoke 18inch) the same 18's that were on the 03-04 coupes?"

Yes, they are the same 18" wheels. As far as those 2 photos go, the first one is of the coupe and the second one is the sedan with Intelligent key, which unfortunately is not available on the coupe.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

well, that does make sense... however, I took that picture from the Coupe section. Go see by yourself.

Another thing, do you guys think it will be possible to buy the brushed aluminum interior of the 2005 model and somehow adapt it to 2004?

The one in the door (passenger side) I have has a chip =( seriously want to have that changed.

For now, do you know where I can get this part? (the plastic aluminum colored thing that goes on the door)

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Why is there no 12v outlet on the 2005 6MTs? On the automatics, there is one in the center storage. Where are we supposed to plug in our radar detectors and cell phone chargers?

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

It appears that there is only one outlet now on the 6MTs. That outlet houses the cigarette lighter and is located besides the ashtray behind the door where the console curves into the dash. I like the old dash better with outlets on both sides of the lower dash. It would be nice to have one in the console also.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Anybody seen tha new G35 commercial? I know it was only for the sedan, but those new rims spinning made me excited. I cannot wait to get my car w/ tha new 19". Of course the sedan rims vs coupe rims looks a lil differ, but if they spin like they do on TV w/ that sedan, I know my 19" will look sick!!!!..hehe.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

so the 2005 auto coupes have hit the west coast. When were these cars produced? August? September?

(just trying to figure out how long it takes from production to dealership delivery)

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

My dealership in Danvers, MA got the 2005 coupes 5AT.
We got some with the 19" sport tuned suspension package too.

The new power up and down navigation is awesome. Lakeshore slate on the coupe is beautiful and the stone interior is really clean looking.

I gotta hand it to Infiniti they did a great job with the 2005.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Does anybody know the rim width of the new 19"s and also whats the deal with the MT losing 10 torque ? to me it seems like they did a little compromise to market it as faster 298hp they dont mention torque loss though.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

19s are 8" front and 8.5" rear. To narrow for good performance tires. Standard 19 tires look too skinny IMO for performance and aggressive looks.

-10 ponds of torque, + 18 HP, +400 RPM Redline in the '05 6MT engine. Different ECU and valve timing. Good compromise with the manual, IMO.
