Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Thnanks for clearing that up, 8.5 is definatelly not wide enough for sport rubber so thats a shame. Im thinking about switching to an 05 mt next year, i know they dont use the brembos for eather MT or AT anymore and the rotors are supposed to be bigger (for both?). How do those brakes compare to the current MT brembos, is the new caliper same as on 04 and 05 just bigger diameter rotor ???

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

btw will they be coming out with a newer version of the z as well, as the new G MT will have more power than the current z. Just curious

Well, the 35th Anniversary edition Z has 300 HP and that's comming out at the same time as the 05 MT G35.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

The "lawsuit" is for the standard brakes, not the Brembos. The "new" brakes, I believe come from the FX models. They have 2 pots in front and one in back with larger rotors. These brakes are better than the old standard brakes, but in no way measure up to the Brembos. This is a cost cutting measure pure and simple. Both the 350Z '05 Track and the 35th Anniversary model have 300 HP, and well as Brembos.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Infiniti has ridiculous numbers of 2004 coupes left and 2004 brochures. You can pick one up at your local dealer though for a 2005 brochure though.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

now ive got a dilemma... I've wanted the 04 for a long time, but now the 05 is offered with the higher quality interior, and obviously a more updated engine, but no brembos... i want the brembos

Must Have Brembo

or maybe i should go for an 04, upgrade the center console myself, figure out how they got that extra 18 horsepower... ahhh, screw the brembos, ill go with an 05...

but... but...

Must Have Brembo

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

Get an 05, and get aftermarket brembo drilled rotors and calipers. Problem solved.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD

I went to my local dealership today and they had both the 2005 G35 Coupe and Sedan brochures. I'm kinda disappointed in the G35 brochure though, really no new pics, guess they didn't have to since the exterior didn't change at all. They used the same old pics and just photoshoped those new 19" in, which in some pics you could really tell they did a bad job. Wonder why they didn't even have one black G35 pic at all, since I think black is a good selling color and all. I just wanted a pic at least with those new 19" on there.

Anyways, as far as the sedan goes, that brochure rocks!! With all new pics, guess they had to since both exterior and interior changed. They really made the sedan more attractive. Everything about it looks nice. If I was in the market for a sedan, I would consider it now. That or the TL =) But I'm young, at heart and still love how the coupe looks.
