Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD
from what i see on infinitinews.com....i dont know if this has been noticed yet, but the new rims shown on the athens blue coupe in the pictures that have been floating around that everyone thinks are 19's are actually 18". If you take a look at the high resolution picture in the photo gallery, you can see that the tire clearly shows "235 45R18"
Does anyone know what the 19" will look like?

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD
thats actually a pic of the sedan wheels... if you look in the sedan section its there also... beware of the interior pics also since they've mixed sedan interior pics in the coupe section... the real interior of the coupe is this:

and if you look here you can barely make out the size of the tires on the coupe:

notice the ones on the coupe are bridgestone potenzas and the sedan has Good Year tires....

"that is correct the closeup is of the sedan and are 18s. if you do a closeup yourself on the coupe pics you'll see they are bridgestone potenza and the markings are 19"s."
This is somewhat true. Even if you zoom up so much, you kinda notice that it shows 19", but there no CLEAR picture yet though. It somewhat doesn't even look like 19" to me just from the general pics though. The stats shows that the 19" are 5 spokes, the rims on the Athen Blues are 10 spokes physically, but of course if you count by 2, then they would be the 5 spokes. All I can say is that we just have to wait and see. For a clearer picture of the 19". 18 and 19 looks very similar on pictures, so there no clear cut answers or pictures yet.

Re: 2005 OFFICIAL THREAD
well i really don't think they'd release production pictures with different rims and tires... especially this close to release time... it seems we're just not happy with the rims and are in denial lol... i believe the main reason they look smaller than 19s are because those rims have a lip... whereas the old 18s didn't so they look bigger... kind of an optical illusion....
btw, the markings on the Athen's blue coupe say 245/40... which are the correct size for the rear 19" tires... if they were 18"s they'd say 245/45... and the sedan 18"s are 235/45 which are the correct size for the other wheel... so its pretty safe to say those are going to be the 19s..... there's really not much doubt given all the facts

no need to read autoweek, if you go to www.nissannews.com you can see the new z in bright yellow with the gold brembos.
