Didn't say it was not safe, just be carefull, having used NOS since the 80's and even on 2 strokes when they said it could not be done. I do not pretend to be an expert, NOS is not safe when the design and installation suck! With the kits these days you can adapt any kit to work on the "G".
I did a lot of research into how I could run a 100 shot safely, with gauges, rpm switch, fuel pick up, AFR lean condition shutdown, low fuel pressure shutdown and on and on. But I decided that I would not do it and wait until I get the coupe in 6 speed. My wife drives the "G" 95% of the time anyway, plus as some on the forum has stated I like them become a MONSTER when I drive the "G" and it gets dangerous out there these days.
NOS becomes addicting and the first time you lose a race you are VERY tempted to bump the HP up and up and up, until something breaks.
Good luck and keep us posted. Drugs are addicting even when you are not sniffing it directly.

What about propane? How safe is that?

The only benefit I see with Propane is the cost, it is definitely cheaper than NOS, BUT HIGHLY explosive.
Don't know if it will produce more power in a gasoline car.
I would rather use NOS for now, want to keep the explosions in the engine and not anywhere else.

That's bragging? It was not meant to be. Trust me.

Propane wont do anything for a NA gas car..

i had propane on the 3000GT..
For turbo charged cars it can be a pretty big help.
It has an octane rating of 110 - 118 depending on the source and helps better atomize the fuel.

it's nothing like nitrous oxide (which is an oxidizer)

there was a guy who put nitrous on his G back in highschool, he swore up and down on that car, since he had an HKS exhaust, veilside kit, rims, and now the nos. (6mt btw)

Long story short, a week after putting the kit in - he blew his engine.

I dont know anyhting about nitrous - but be carefull and know what your getting into.
