Redyed my interior :)

BACK TO BLACK SUCKAS!!!!!

hey everyone, been getting huge amounts of requests for this so i figured i would go ahead and post some pics of my progress, well i got one seat done today and it is looking amazing!!!!

the vehicle is my 2003 g35 coupe, so 7-8 year old leather with 85,000kms of wear and tear

here are some of the before shots: notice how faded and ugly the leather is starting to look BLAH!!!! :ghetto
doesn't even look black anymore, just looks like a faded ugly gray

lots of ugly little spots like this where the color is gone :thegame

cracked bolster :1puke

more cracks and a chuck of color missing at the top??? :wtf

took me 3 hours to do one seat, next up is the rest of the interior, then the gay dove colored roof is going to be either dyed or fabric overlayed black

What dye did you use? Did you apply it to the seats while still in the car or did you have to remove them and do all that with taking the leather completely off?

i used a dye rubbing balm, left the seats in as the dye comes right off of hard plastic

Now that you have dyed the seats, how do you maintain the look, you cant exactly use leather cleaner now right?

I guess Aerospace 303.

i mean i used dye so it will stay that color now..... its not like dye rubs off, i will just continue to use a leather conditioner because that will not harm the dye, so leather conditioner once every 2 or 3 months
