a few concern about the g35
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I looked through the forum and do the search option about the oil consumption and so on... Now I have some noob questions that I could not find an answer or not really clear to me so please help me out.
-What engine would mostly have OC problem? because as I read I saw some people said that VQ35DE has OC problem as I know the 6MT and 5AT are VQ35DE and other threads said that only the REV- UP aka 6MT has that OC problem.
-What is the correct way to fix this OC problem beside replace the whole engine?
-Is it worth to buy a G35 with 70,000? Can I drive it to 150-200k might on it?
I'm really appreciate your time, and help. Please answer my question since I plan to buy a G. Either 2005 or 2006, I do like the 6MT but I'm worry about the OC. Recommendation is really appreciate

1 - as far as I know all of the 03-07 model engines are susceptible to OC issues, but mainly the rev-up engines.
2- Only fix is an entire engine swap which is covered under warranty. Temp fix would be adding oil every x miles. Most people with this issue burn a quart every 1,000.
3- It is safe as long as you have a carfax on the car, and get it checked out by a mechanic you trust. With proper maintenance and care, these cars can easily run up to 150k+ miles.

1. Just to be a bit clear, I guess that the engines would have problem depend on the the owners. If the owners keep pushing to high rpm the engines will break and start have the oil leak. Is it right?
2. I heard some people try to change or mod the washer etc. would lightly fix the problem?
3. What is the warranty policy for the g35? is it 5 years 100k miles? if yes I think I might go with the 2006, if not I will just try my luck on 2005. Thanks for the quick reply. More help would be appreciate =)) <3
