NEED HELP(OIL and Gas)

i went to the nissan dealership today to see if i needed a oil change cause it was atleast 1k til oil change but it seemed on the dipstick it was very low so i guess my G was burning oil? but then again i dont have white smoke coming from the exhaust either so the rings shouldnt be bad. The reason i think it burned more oil is that just a week ago i just started using 91 octane. before i was using 89 and was just wondering could that be the reason why it went through oil faster because i was using a lower octane grade of gas? not sure on this but hopefully its that. PLEASE does anyone know what i could be. thanks

Why were you using 89 when it clearly states by the gas cap to only use premium? Its not a suggestion.

because i thought shell gas went unleaded(87) premium(89) then vpower was just above um it was a humen mistake but would that be a reason why my oil was getting low? cause i was using a lower grade of gas?

I honestly don't know the answer to that question. Hopefully some of the more technically inclined guys will help you out. Just FYI, premium is typically between 91 and 93 octane.

Just because your now using the octane gas you should have used all along has no relationship to OC. Keep an eye on your oil, if you start using more than a quart every 1K miles take it on for the OC test. No warranty, start looking for a new motor....

ok yea i understand that it might not have anything to do with that, but i see no oil leaks under my car and also my rings arent burning because white smoke or any smoke at that isnt coming from exhaust, so im going to see how it does and im thinking that from using lower octane wasnt cutting it and when it wasnt it was burning more oil so the car wont sieze up or anything like that. all G's are different, but i am putting v-power in now so i hope it runs better and just poured 5 quarts in this saturday and have been checking oil for past few days and also reving exhaust to see if any smoke, oil is where it should be and no smoke.
