guys with autos... when you shift from reverse to drive, or srive to reverse... you hear a"donk" from the bottom?

and when you start your g for the first time everyday... is the shift from park to reverse alot more severe?

Never heard any donks going into reverse. The closest thing to a donk for me would be going from third to second.

Not that I have noticed. Only sound that I can think of it is the stick clacking through it's positions to get to reverse, but I'll give it a hard listen tomorrow to see if I can hear anything actually coming from the transmission.

okay... so i get the noise when turning the car on for the first time everyday... AND when parallel parking (goin to drive and reverse etc). Anyone please try it, go to reverse to drive a couple times please. thanks

I get one in the morning.. but I think that is because I park at a slight forward incline.

Juggernaut that "donk" is the cars tranny taking longer to get into the gear and when it clonks to get in, you might be pressing the gas a little or rolling back or forward depending which way your going and then shifting intot he gear quick, its happened to me and corrected my mistake!

Hey Illg35, i always make sure i am fully stopped and have the brake 100% pressed before shifting, but i still get it when i am parallel parking!?
