Don't you guys find it hard to see out of the windows at night with the tints so dark? What type of tints do you suggest for a carribean blue G35? I was thinking straight black but some people are saying metallic?

 

i gotta roll the windows down in parking lots...but once im on the road its gravy....all you gotta do is look for lights on your sides...it gets annoying but you know what......no matter what time of the day..and even in the bright hot sunny FLORIDA sun...you still can't see me! Or what im doin....girls love that people can't see em in my whip.

I wouldn't suggest doing anything to the front windshield for safety reasons. [img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Actually from what I understand the reasoning in Cali behind no tint on the side windows is also because it reverses the effect of the tempered glass. When you get in a car accident all the side windows are made of tempered glass so they will shatter into tiny little pieces. This keeps large shards from breaking off during impact and slicing open a jugular or two. At least that's how it was explained for me be CHP. Peace.

Any problems from CHP or locals yet? My last car I did 5% in rear 3 and 35% in front 2 and haven't had any problems yet........TG I didn't own a Civic or Teg though, as I surely would have gotten pulled over.

Actually I believe you are incorrect about the law applying to out of state motorists. If your car is registered out of state and you are driving through, I don't beleive you can be held liable. Could you imagine every state trying to enforce different tint laws on visiting out of state vehicles!!!? That'd be crazy as he l l !

Yeah, VA can enforce their tint laws on out-of-state motorists if they choose to. I don't think they usually do, but they can.

VA: Low tint limits (35% rear, 50% sides)
Tint Limits can be enforced on other drivers
Didn't raise the speed limits at all once national limit was lifted. Still 55 highways, 65 interstates
Radar Detectors are Illegal
Cops are generally quite strict on everything

From a driving standpoint, be glad you don't live here.

How is the FM and AM reception after you guys tint you car. I know in the past, everytime I tint my windows with car's that have the antenna built into the window, it reduces the reception dramatically. Especially AM stations.
