Sup guys, I had a question about window tinting. I ordered a CB/Graphite 6MT coupe and i was just wondering what type of tint you guys think I should get. Just let me know the type and percentage for all windows. I don't really care if it's "illegal." :-)

This is just my personal opinion but I think 20% all the way aorund would look dope. It is kinda dark especially with a graphite interior. Here's a pic of mine so you can judge. Also get the best you can afford hopefully a metalized film which tends to last longer and resist fading or turning purple. The company that makes mine by chance is called "Infinity". I forgot the brand of film I purchased, but I went with 4% on the rear and 20% on the sides. I think it looks very cool.

Anyone know much about Llumar tint? I have heard some people say it rocks but I don't know why.

 

Llumar tint gives you a lifetime warranty against window tint fading.

 

Hey razor, isn't 4% on the rear window kind of hard to see at night? I must say, your car looks great. Red your car looks raw as well. Should I tint my front windshield 20% as well?

 

I like the 15%, it almost completely covers up the blacked out areas on the rear side window.

Has anyone gone say 20 or 15% in the little rear seat window and about 30% or essentially lighter on the driver/passenger window ??

I was thinkin of doin that .... I dont want her too dark, but I want to blend that blacked out rear seat window area by Infiniti.

Also, anyone heard of or seen this RAY BAN tint?
it's that green color of their glasses. ...very nice ..pricey lookin.

hey dude if you tint all around with the same % tint then it will look MUCH cleaner than if you vary the %...this advice comes from a professional tint-man (not me but a good friend)

I recommend a sort of smoke approach, say... 35% all around (except front windshield of course)

Actually, in NJ you can't tint the front driver and passenger side windows. I was pulled over by a cop this evening, and he asked me to roll down my passenger side window, to check for tint. Luckily, I only tinted the back windows on my Maxima. After this incident, no tint for me (they should change the law in NJ).

 

you see .. I dont necessarily have to have tints .... I dont on my car now...I think it looks "fresher" on SOME cars ..

either way I was thinkin I wouldn't mind on this car ..

I'm goin black on black ... so I was thinkin it may look nicer than no tint..

but if I go too dark the chicks wont see me in there....

I wonder what the best tint % is gonna be for me ... I like that smoke approach of 35% ... BUT I'll do the back window like 25% for transition....

I have the CB/Graphite with 15% all around. Lookks great. I will POST an updated pic soon. I also got the clear bra and Clear Corners.

I suggest 35% all the way around. Get a highly reflective metallic tint. THat's what I'm rockin'
