I have a Kenstyle rear. A lady crashed into me and cracked it by the plate area...pretty much completely took out the part that holds the plate.

Insurance is going to try to dick me...i'm sure of it. Anyways, I need to find a site that sells an authentic Kenstyle rear bumper so that I can show them how much it costs to replace it.

I don't trust that a repair job can make it perfect as to how it was again so I just want it replaced....can the insurance company force me to have it repaired instead of replaced?

I figured that an authentic Kenstyle rear should cost approx $1000.

I think that they will make you get an estimate for the fix and the install of the new bumper and they will probably only cover the cheaper one, but gl. U never know with insurance companies.

Go to a paint and body shop that has their own adjuster. I had the dealership scratch and crack my greddy front end.They wanted to just touch up the scratch using their own body guy to save them money. My paint and body shop sent them a repair cost for $1200. The insurance company will try to low ball you. You have to demand your car be repair to the condition it was in before it was wrecked. if you accept what they give you , your stuck. Threating to have your attorney's get involved works but as a last resort.
