Better watch out! If Geobau catches you, you lose your title forever! That or he renames you something special.

Re: anyone not switch to synthetic?

I started off with synthetic at about 3k, and have been doing okay so far. I'm at 12k now. I'm not an expert but i think the difference from regular oil and synthetic is the drain interval. Some people say the car runs smoother and less engine noise, but can't always beleive what you hear. Bobistheoilguy.com is a great site for researching different brands and types of oil.

take care.

Re: anyone not switch to synthetic?

I switched over to Synthetic Oil after 3.5k... I don't feel any noticable difference, but synth oil doesn't break down as fast. So you can go up to 7k without changing your oil. I change my oil every 4-5k just to play it safe. It's only $20 more.... not much of a cost considering how much you've already spend on the G.

Oh, and regarding voiding your warranty... I have a hard time believing that using Synth Oil will void it. Just make sure you keep all your reciepts and/or oil change receipts...

yeah, im not worried about cost... just the benefits to the motor. i have heard of people complaining of excessive oil consumption, and some thinking the cause is the synthetics.

I'm staying with Penzoil 10-30. I change every 3K miles. I also use a K&N Filter. It's Real Petroleum Oil for me.
