I agree with Tony that's why I reinstalled my factory intake with a drop in K&N filter.I have a black aluminum Ztube from Z1 motorsports and the JWP POPCHARGER with HEAT SHIELD for sale if someone is entrested. I will never see or use the performance gains from the system. The gains come in around 5700 to 6100 rpms witch mean you are either racing, passing, or on the track. These cars cruise at 2000 to 2400 rpms at 65 and 70 mph so your know where near the rpms needed to feel the increased hp. They do not increase nor decrease gas milege in normal driving but give the engine a custom look and deep roar when you press the gas. I could tell a big difference when I reinstalled the stock setup. The throttle response and torque was felt right away. I believe that the only stsyem that works just as good or better would be the stillen system because of the round filter and air box. Just routing the filter further from the engine is not enough, heat still gets to the filter, the filter has to be completly boxed in to be kept cool just like the stock system. I have probably talked myself out of a sale but I would rather be honest with you all that have never used an aftermarket intake before. Those that have them already know these things and it's our responsibility to provide you with the right information so that you can make up your own mind in weather you want one or not. Hope this helped?
