If you are making the SLIP sensor go off (the slip light flashes on your dash) then that is your VDC being activated/used.
Happens to me sometimes when going into gear at high rpm's.
If this is what you are complaining about, then turning it off will help, but if it's not, then it's not.

Yeah can't be the VDC as the light doesn't illuminate and I'm keeping the RPM's low. So your right, doubt turning the VDC off is going to help.

Its not VDC thats the problem, thats for sure. I'm talking about shifting from first to second and the car jerking if engine speed is not exactly right when you let the clutch out.

Check this out, I came across it this morning and it sounds interesting. Its for the 2nd gen but I took a quick look at my 04 pedal this morning and there is the same spring in a different location. The jist of it is by removing the spring you feel the pressure plate instead of the spring making for a progressive pedal feel if that makes sense. I quickly read through it and people say once they get use to it the jerkyness is eliminated.

Yep I believe you hit the nail on the head...this is exactly what I'm talking about. Guess I need to practice more on gettting the engine speed right during this 1st to 2nd gear shift. I guess my M3 has spoiled me as I don't have to worry about this jerking in any gear.

I believe this is only for the 2nd gen sedans. The coupes have a different setup.
