Rubbing sound ONLY when braking
Rubbing sound ONLY when braking
About a month ago I noticed a weird rubbing sound which is coming from the rear and sounds more prevalent on the passenger side. It only happens when I am braking. It doesn't happen when I am braking in reverse however.
I have an 05 Coupe (non-sport) w/ 70k miles and just had the rear pads replaced and rotors re-surfaced a year ago at 55k miles. I searched the forums but only came up w/ the axle click which I don't think this is because that says it makes a clicking sound when accelerating from a stop. This could be a clicking sound, but sounds more like rubbing (I can actually hear the sound on each revolution of the wheel/tire) and only happens when I am braking in forward drive.
Any thoughts?
