valve stem caps

are they necessary? ive had three sets stolen, and im tired of replacing them. are they really necessary?

I own German performance cars... I just bought a G35... I like the G35... thank you...bye now.

ahh, good advice with the torquing them down... but arent the threads gonna be gone cause i do that? either way, thanks.

You want to be careful using a wrench on the valve caps. I would just get a couple extra caps at your local auto parts store. They're fairly cheap to replace.

I just went with the cheap gray plastic ones (looks better than the black plastic ones) from pep boys after mine got stolen the second time. I was thinking about machining some copper ones and hooking up some voltage to them when my alarm is armed and frying the hell out of the next lowlife a##hole that tries to swipe them, ha ha.

(not promoting that site, just searched on google). They even have infiniti branded ones.

How exactly do these locking caps work? I have been just buying the silver ones from Pep Boyz. No one has lifted them yet.

Any one know where you can buy the anti theft valve stem caps with a key? The stricly Z website has shut down.

i had a friend who stole them... he was tellin me how people buy them for like a buck a cap... the metal ones that is...
