Yeah, that's why I was confused. Most cars have CEL and SES...

But the 06? Only have SES... Which is confusing. Does that mean after a certain amount of miles, our SES will light up?

How can we tell if its just a maintenance light that goes off every 30k miles or so. Or somethign is wrong with our motor.

 

^Mine does not turn on every 30K miles, only when there's a problem.

This is why there should be 2 separate lights. Not sure why the removed it.

 

For the guys/ladies with factory nav, they get the maintenance reminders. For those of us that don't have it we get to use our heads.

My 05 does not have a CEL. I don't think any of the 1st gen Gs do.

We only have the SES light. Interesting that the Nismo cluster have it.

 

Check the NISMO dash. It has a CEL but no SES, must be reversed for them.

 

Disconnect your MAF and start your car. Then you will know what the check engine light looks like.

 

Ok, on the G Sedan, there is also no Check Engine Light. Just the SES light. So I just got confused when someone called it a "CEL"...
