I had my coupe for a few weeks and every time after I get out of my car I smell burned rubber coming from my rear tires. I will take it in to see what is wrong. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone here have any ideas as to why this is happening?

New brake pads sometimes smell like that too. It's normal and will go away after a while.

Put the VDC back on ....let the clutch out slower and don't give her so much gas!

Thanks for replies, it just that I had a few new cars before and never experienced this. But the smell is not as strong as it was, I think it will be gone soon.

i just purchased my G last week. the smell went away after 5 days. i just figured it was something the car was burning off. it was a strong burning smell like you said though.

Re: Tires smell like they are burning!!
The G is designed to produce low emission so the car burns fuel at a much higher temp...thus causing the smell....I had the same problem the first 2 months of ownership and I must say it has gotten a little better with time but I still smell it
