Hey man, I wonder what does toe affect anyway? Is there like any websites or online resources that give a systematic view of alignment (what does each spec mean, how this and that work).

I totally need to learn this... piece by piece from forum isn't that efficient

1.7 Camber in the rear is NOT a big deal as long as toe is set (for my car). I had 1.7 in the rear and didn't have wear problems on my old tires.

If the tech said that the camber is maxed out then that is it, no more adjusments can be made. I would either take it to another shop to get a free alignment check and see if they can even adjust the camber anymore, doing so gives you a second opinion. Or like Gary C and Xet said, get an after market camber kit. Good luck!!!

I bought a SPC camber kit to fix my rear camber. However, 1.7-1.9 negative in the rear is a big deal to me. Especially since I can't afford $800+ for a new set of tires every year.

Sean, that why we spend the $$ for the camber/toe kits....who needs to buy tires once a year? I'd find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area that knows how to do alignment correctly. Every town has someone that knows how to do their job, and do it right. Sadly places like Firestone/Goodyear/Sears will only make the situation worse....Oh and don't forget PepBoys!

Your camber looks ideal to me. The G35 is a sports GT car. -1 to -2 degrees of camber will improve handling. It's your toe that's eating up tires. I have -1 to -1.5 degrees of camber on both the G and STi and I get perfectly normal tire wear. You may want to look into a tire with a higher tread wear rating. Everything is a give and take. The G is supposed to give better handling than most cars and that is achieved partially by a more aggressive alignment along with more aggressive tires.

Once again, toe is responsible for eating up tires more than camber is.

Yeah I know the mechanics of alignment specs. But who needs better handling while going down the highway? I do like to take my car out on back roads and through the Texas hill country every now and then, but besides that I don't really need the handling. That's why I bought the SPC. So if one day I do decide to track the car, I can take it in to have the camber brought out more and go have a joy ride. Until then, I would prefer not to have my tires showing wire like my last set did. My last tires were Falken FK452s and the camber tore those things apart fast.

Edit: Before the SPC, my toe was within spec. Camber alone tore up the inside of the tire.

Also, guys what is the most affordable front adjustable A arms? I'm lowering my car on monday, so my camber is gonna be really out of whack then.
