Re: Langka Touchup

I tried it on my DG coupe for paint chips and found it to be very minimally worthwhile. The "repaired" spots were easily visible from a few feet away due to color/reflectivity mismatches. The car was only a few months old and had been in a garage 95% of the time so paint fading wasn't a factor. I'm guessing it works better with solid (non-metallic) colors as most of the promotional shots on their site are of repairs done to solid colored cars. The metalflake content of the factory touch-up paint when it's brushed on is evidently too much of a variable where color matching is concerned.

Re: Langka Touchup

I've used it before with good results, but like BMW3toG35C mentioned it doesn't work too well with metallic colors. The Lanka removes the excess paint and leaves the area flat, the problem is that it leaves behind the metallic flakes or pearl and the end result is that there is too much flake left in proportion to the paint so the repair appears lighter in color. With solid colors it works great, it takes the touchup paint down flush and it sort of dissapears at a couple of feet.
