with the exception of the few of you who have made a custom adapter for your jack stands, where does everybody usually place their jackstands under the car?

i just want to know the safest spot (for me and my car)

Safest spot is the still the stock jack locations whether or not you have adapters.

 

Why would you make adapters for jackstands, to what purpose? I've placed my Sears 3 ton jackstands in the stock location (found in your owners manual) without incident several times being totally confident laying under her....

not as far as i know, but im just not sure where on the frame is good

 

Like Gary said look in the owners manual. It will show you exactly where you can. Its right behind the front tires on either side...

i honestly tried the manual, spent 10 minutes searching for anything relevant in the index, no luck but i found a suitable place on my car to put them and got lucky that it didnt screw anything up

 

I use the lower control arms. Works fine unless you are doing suspension work. It kinda sucks having a unibody sometimes because jack points aren't always straightforward.

 

This! I also have the rubber pad for the jack too.

I know the people put he jack stands on the place that the manual shows, but is it safe to put it here too?

My jack stand has a more flat top so I just put it on the pinch welds next to the little indented part of the pinch welds where you put the jack.
