Cross drilled rotors rust, how long.

Hey I just ordered some stoptech rotors and I just wanted to ask anybody here how long before yours started changing colors. Is there any brand that is rust proof because I'm mainly buying these for looks since I my new rims expose the rotors alot.

I have brembo brakes with ceramic pads if that helps any.

Any machined surface will rust when the outside elements hit it.I got about 2 months before my BBK rotors started the rust....nothing you can do about it.

two months, god damn that sucks. What can I do I bought some 20 inch m6 rims and that orange rust is going to look nasty. I might as well stay with stock.

I have stoptech slotted. If left in rain and not touched, sure they will rust it's normal. But once water hits it, or you start driving thus braking it goes away. Mine rusted when I didn't touch my car in the snow and hated it, but went away once I drove it. But nowadays still looks great and its been almost a year.

you paint the whole thing to get paint into the holes and on the hat of the rotor. take 600 grit sandpaper on a block and sand off the paint from the rotor contact surface. you should also seat the pads on any new set of rotors.
