hey all, new to the forum.

well, just picked her up today, Black '04 6MT Coupe loaded minus nav. was able to get $1k off MSRP and made him toss in the set of stock rims they had dipped in black chrome on display in the showroom. maybe i could have gotten a better deal but i keep my cars for a long time, and this beauty is worth every penny =)

I wonder how much it'd cost... I've been after this look for a while now!

I have a bit of bumper rash, so I might do this instead of getting a new set of rims!

If you have some 19s that you want to sell... let me know

 

Looks nicey nice! If I can make a suggestion, especially with the black, I would look into a clear bra, most importantly the front bumper! I wish I had it done!!! Black on black is sooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeet!

 

The rims were originally on a different car in the showroom and as part of the deal I had them toss the set on my car. The sales manager claimed it cost them $1k as it is a fairly new and expensive process, so basically I ended up getting $2k off MSRP which I don't think is horrible.

I did use the argument that the 05's are just around the corner, but there are several things working against me:

1) Black 6MT coupes are hard to find in my area
2) the 05's will no longer offer the Brembos
3) the 05's come with hideous wheels (subjective opinion =)
4) the 05's increase horsepower but at the expense of torque

So in my mind I did not have as much leverage as would normally be the case with a new model year just around the corner.
