Dear sirs, please see if you will be able to identify what the problem is.
I am not sure if it is because the weather has turned cold these days, on startup, I would get this gasoline smell coming from the exhaust but not from the hood. Is this normal? It never did that when I bought it 2 months ago until just recently..
Another problem I noticed is during the first startup of the day, I get a mild rattle sound from the bottom of the driver seat, under the car. I checked several times and it is not coming from the engine. Is something loose under the car? It also started to happen since the weather turned cold..so I am not really sure if its 'normal'.
The only thing I did was a complete oil change and differential fluid change, and pulley for the steering at Mr. Lube. Could they mess up something over therE? The guys really looked like they know their stuff, and the mech who did it for me also owned a G35 coupe , and the car drove PERFECT no sound no rattle whatever when I first got it..
Thank you so much guys, I am worried because I spent pretty all my savings buying the baby.

Smelling gas fumes at the tailpipe means unburnt fuel which could be a plug not firing or only partially. Have a qualified mechanic check this out for you, shouldn't be anything too serious. Just don't go to Infiniti, Nissan's a much better choice or like I said "qualified mechanic." Maybe you shouldn't be sniffing the tailpipe....

If you're smelling gas chances are that it's a cat converter. Cats convert that gas into more environmentally friendly waste. whenever a cat fails it doesnt kill the gasses thus you smelling gas in the cabin..
with that said, if you are getting a Check Engine Light after the heat shield removal (the rattle you had) you eliminated 1 of the problems (the rattle). the other problem is still there which is an exhaust leak.
Chances are either the cat is cracked or flange/oxygen sensor is loose.
