Exclamation Front License Plate Question?

So I got pulled over for not having the front license plate (California)....

I don't really prefer it to be in the center on the tow hook, but I was wondering if I can mount it on the side-bottom grill. But one issue to consider was the airflow, does the intake get airflow from both sides or just one? because if it does get airflow from just one side, I will mount it on the other side....

Please HELP

The amount of air that gets to the intake from the bottom grills is insignificant, if not nonexistent, so feel free to put it on either side. Most people put it on the passenger side though.

I say keep the plate off .

I totally agree with u keeping the plate off.....

I was thinking of correcting it and then taking it off again....but if by any chance the cops pull me over for the same reason, will there be a stricter penalty?

Lol i just got pulled over on Sunday for no front plate! That cop was pulling people over left and right. After i heard his lights go off on someone... i was leaving and thought that he'd be too busy with someone already. right when i left the parking lot, i saw him leaving and i guess he saw me in his rear view mirror and pulled me over.

everything
If you are gonna put it on... put it in the middle. Looks retarded when its offset to one side of a car.

I hate front plates... never put them on any of my vehicles

Sounds like our P.D. is trying to pay off the states debt in one week. This is the chance we take and the game we play by not running a front plate along with window tint....isn't it? Mount the license plate, get it written off and then remove it. What are the odds you'd get another ticket for the same thing? I'm not going to admit how long it's been since I've had a ticket, don't wish to blow my lucky streek....

I agree...offset plates look odd. Why is it a law to have a front one anyhow? what's the reasoning?

I live in California too and recently got pulled over for seatbelt (stupid uncomfortable Infiniti seat belts ><) and he wanted to see my vin i guess and my license plate was blocking it, he told me to move it so he can see. I thought for sure he'd throw in a fix it ticket for that too. Guess i got lucky.

Definitely put on to be written off then take it off again.

What I did for now was just ziptied the plate temporarily to the bottom side grill....and I'm just gona get it written off first thing tomorrow and remove that thing...I would rather just deal with cops again than having to see my g like that everyday.

So you basically don't have to worry about getting any citations at all, especially for front license plate. That a good career to consider then. lol
