Has anyone ever cut springs?

A buddy of mine has an 06 coupe and does not like the stance of his drop. He wants to cut the rear springs to level the drop. He would like the rear to sit about .5 - .7 inches lower. Any suggestions on what he should do?

Buy springs that lower him that much.

and I dont get why this is in the sedan section if its for a coupe, but if its for a 06 sedan revised Zsprings. .5in the back 1inch in the front.

No experience personally but I hear it's not good at all. There is a spring mount mod you can do which will drop another .5

Do the rear spring mount mod, you can get anywhere from 1/4"-3/4" depending on how much you cut off

Agree with those who say buy the proper equipment and do it right.

Moving to the proper forum...

Snoop taking an inch or so out of the "Spring Mount" won't have any effect on how his coupe rides. I can't believe individuals are considering cutting their springs in the 21st century....
