yeah I'm looking to start off with a good exhaust. can the G35 coupe handle a performance header stock or no? and if anyone has any good exhausts I'm looking for something with a deeper sound, nothing ricer. and if you have sound clips send em! looking for something like this sound :
. but obviously its not gonna be that well sounding.

Don't bother with headers until you have every other bolt on and tune.

Congrats on the car. I have a soft spot in my heart for the LR.

The exhaust on that G in the clip sounds like a$$ to me, but half the exhausts out there sound like a$$ to me. Rice, rice baby.

Some bad news about the subframe bushing: I'm almost positive the entire rear subframe has to be replaced to replace that bushing. You could search for posts to see if there is another solution...try "subframe" as your search term. There are posts on that issue.

More bad news: the subframe is about $650 plus a fair amount of labor and an alignment.

The good news: you have a hot new car!

More good news: the subframe on a BMW with labor would be well over 2k! At least you don't have to pay that.

Man...you have EXACTLY what I'm looking for, why can't I find deals like that??? Congrats man. When I was 16 back in 2006, I bought a 2001 Z71 for $11k and paid for every dime, had to quit sports to work and pay for it and won't ever regret it.

[QUOTE=jibberjabbers;5441697]Where do 17 year olds get 14k to buy a car? Kids these days.

When I was 17 back in the 70's I was chauffeured to school everyday in an $80,000 vehicle that I helped pay for. It was called a bus.

Congrats on the purchase! You'll love it.

differential bushing? subframe bushing? 2 different things. im pretty sure the subframe bushings aren't liquid filled. maybe your diff cover/plug is just leaking.....better yet....provide pix of whatever is leaking.

it going to be hard to make it sound like that seeing as that g has a 5.6L Titan v8 in it. This v6 wont really ever sound like a v8 but it can sound very very nice, just unique and distinct. I think you would be very happy with an HKS exhaust

as mentioned above, you cant just replace the bushing in the subframe. They don't make a replacement solution. So they want you to replace the whole subframe. There is another solution though. You can buy solid bushings and install those. Search and you will find where you can get those.
