problem shifting into first gear.

Sometimes i need to hit it hard to hit 1st gear.
All others is really easy to shift into. Is everyone like this or is it just me?

I assume you mean it's hard to shift into 1rst when the car is moving? Pretty much all manual tranny cars are like that. You can try rev matching and it should help you to get it into 1rst a little easier when the car is in motion.... but really, there's not much need to even use first unless you're coming from a dead stop.

Anything above 2 or 3 MPH, just use 2nd gear.

I hope you are talking about putting it into 1st from a complete stop. If you are already rolling, like what has already been stated, just keep it in 2nd. 1st should only be used when coming from a dead stop.

Are you parked on a steep incline and trying to put it in gear? That'll make the shift trickier as well.

From a standstill it should be easy to get into 1st gear, if you're still rolling to a stop it's difficult if you aren't rev-matching.

If you're having a problem getting into 1st gear from a standstill then first change the transmission fluid (or just do it anyways, service interval is 20k miles for 6MT) and if it doesn't make any difference then start saving for a transmission rebuild because your synchro's are probably shot.

The biggest mistake I see folks make when they're new to a manual transmission is downshifting to slow the vehicle, that's what your brakes are for.

Second biggest mistake is not rev-matching.

Third biggest mistake is slipping the clutch.

Don't CHECK the fluid, CHANGE the fluid. It has a certain life expectancy just like every other fluid in the car.
