so any homelink equipped mirror will work?? just needs 12v?

Yes! The Homelink unit is inside the mirror, same with the auto dimmer. All you need to do is power it.

You can tap the power from the map lights. easy as pie.
Another example of why you should not ask dealers ANY questions. They will lie or BS you.

thanks. i was gonna get one on ebay, but didnt cause the seller told me it would not work on a g that did not come with homelink.

He told you that because he didn't have the HomeLink Wiring Harness, but this guy as it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT so I got the HomeLink RearView Mirror from one guy, and I am getting the Wiring Harness from the other guy. I won the mirror on ebay for $46.00, and the wiring is a buynow for $24.99 on ebay. So I'll see what happens. (If it woks or not)

You can always tuck the wire and run it down to the driver's side fuse box like I did with my hardwired escort... do a search on radar installs if your curious. On another note I didn't realize they made mirrors with the V1 display in them.. way overpriced tho.
