Washable/Reuseable filter for Intake

I have a stillen intake w/ ztube and im thinking about replacing it for a washable/reuseable filter so i wont have to keep buying a new one.

I was wondering if the washable/reuseable is any good filter. Is it bad or good to have one? Is there a disadvantage for having it?

If you have a stillen intake it comes with a K&N filter which is washable and reuseable.

That's....^....right, you already have an air filter that never needs replacing. Buy the K&N cleaning kit from most autoparts stores and you're good forever....average price is only $10=
