Locally there is a 06 350z motor for sale... looks like just the block up to the valve covers, not the full assembly. Seller states there is 25k miles on it and it came from a running 350z.

I haven't asked the seller questions yet so I only have this info from his for sale post.

Anyway, he is asking $1000 and I was wondering if that was a good price?

That's not an unreasonable price for a '06 motor. Coming from a Z is it a REVUP motor which came from a 6 MT? If so how do you know it doesn't have OC issues? If it came from a AT Z then it's probably a good deal with only 25K on the clock!

Chances are it's a retired OC affected engine.

Get it looked at thoroughly before you buy it.

 

Was there a reason why he's parting the engine?
It just sounds like an O/C engine to me...
