Friend Totaled my G

don't want to embarrass my friend so Im going to keep the details vague.

He was attempting to cross 2 lanes of traffic and do a u turn where it said no uturn and a car came up from behind him and ****ed the car up.

anyway. I think the G is totaled, not sure yet. Regardless, I am going to sell the car once I get it back. Too many problems with it.

The sticky part: I have liability only, so I'm trying to get his insurance to cover the damage to my car. ****ty situation.

enjoy the pics.

OUCH!!!! Good Luck with that... I know when my friend had a mishap in my TL, his insurance would not cover it. I would have had to file it on mine. So he fixed it cheap and I traded it off for another G35 Coupe.

I have GEICO and my policy does cover substitute cars. So I'm hoping they will cover it. Otherwise I have to get him to pay for the damage, which absolutely sucks.

Damn dude, sorry for your loss.

This is why I'm always edgy about others driving my car (unless they have enough money to buy me a new one)

The guy I bought my G from said my left rear quarter was replaced a long time ago. That's what I imagine it looking like. Mine is like new except it's missing a sticker in the door. Otherwise it looks like new.

Is the rear axle bent? It looks drivable from the pic. I would install the spare and drive it until the insurance gives you a rental

Your friend is douche. He was wreckless with your property and he endangered the driving public. Your insurance and his insurance is not going to cover it. You're going to have to sue him if he's not willing to pay for repairs. And technically your car is not totaled since only your insurance can total it out or cover the repair. Sorry this happens to you.

I am 50/50 on whether or not the rear axle is bent. I drove the car out of the street and onto a side road so i am assuming it is drivable, but since I have to drive 20+ miles each direction to work, I don't want to risk my life to save a few buck. With regards to insurance, I have a friend who is an adjuster who will work on my behalf.

I'm going to spoil you guys with some more pix:
