Thankfully it was another car your friend pulled this maneuver in front of and not a garbage truck...or god forbid, a motorcycle.

Wonder what cereal box he got his "surprise inside" driver's license from?

Did you know that your friend drives like that?

I like what the other guy says that he only let the infiniti tech drive the cars. If i had to i only trust one friend to drive my car because i know his driving is not aggressive. And that's it!!! Parents, brother and if and when i get a GF, they will not be driving the car.

I trust my dad to drive my car, as he is extremely respectful of other people's property. I've let my mom drive my G, even lowered, a handful of times when I had to use her truck. My GF drives it when she needs it, while it's lowered. My buddy has "stolen" it twice after I took it to his shop to get an oil change done and raced it around the block. He's one of the only non-family people I trust, as I used to drive around with him and race with him, being a passenger, and he's very aware/not TOO dumb when he's driving, lol. But he's only driven it twice.

That's what I was thinking. Minding his own business, nice BMW 7 series.. then BAM... I'd be pissed if I was the BMW owner.

sorry for your loss bro.
that really sucks

i got hit by a taxi in this exact same scenario a few years back.
except i almost made it free and clear but he clipped my right rear quarter panel with his front. Damage was about $1k, but the alignment has never been the same. A split second longer and i would have passed him and he would have missed me..

You're being too nice.

You need to make your "friend" pay if insurance won't.

He will see your vulnerability and take advantage of you if you keep being so "nice."

I'm sorry to hear about your baby.

So here's an update:

I don't think his insurance will cover the damage, however I'm receiving a copy of his policy today and am going over it with a lawyer line by line to see how we can get the insurance company to take the loss.

He has agreed to pay for all repairs, however the repair estimates look like they are going to exceed 6K, so in an effort to save my friend's bank account, I am trying hard to get his insurance to cover it.

As a side note, I am stuck without a car and its pissing me off. My work is 20min away by car and 1.5 hrs away by bus, so its making my life a living hell. thankfully, i live in downtown Miami and with the exception of my job and a movie theater, there is pretty much everything I need within 15 minutes walking distance.
