did i mess up my clutch??

today, on a highway i was playing with my clutch, i wanted to see when is the best time to release it so my car can run more smooth. so i messed around like a few time. after, i parked my car, 9 hours later, when i was on the road i realized that my clutch was making "ticking" sounds. every time when i step on my clutch to switch gear, it will make like a ticking sound. but when i release the clutch, it doesn't have that sound.does anyone know what's wrong with it???

Could be your pressure plate/release bearing or it could be that you just need to lube the internals of the clutch fork .... It wouldint be a throwout bearing because that would be while your foots off the clutch.

Best thing to do is to take the car to a reputable shop. I tried the ask on the forums thing with my trans prob and had a few responses, which were for the most part wrong. It's hard to figure things out. Mine was the throwout bearing getting bent during the 1st install. I'll never go there again
