3rd brake light

Anyone know where I can get a new or used 3rd brake light for a '03 G35 coupe?

Thanks!

if you can go buy a new one, used ones might not last long. The LED's are not very reliable on our cars.

/\/\/\/\ my post above was addressing the spoiler 3rd brake light. The interior light on the back deck can be purchased used and they have been more reliable. Check in the marketplace for part outs or look on eBay.

deepdiver you are lucky, I have an 04 and went through 2 spoiler lights so far. It starts with a couple LED's dying out, then 3 then 4 ... then I am so annoyed I just have to buy a new one. I know some people never had issues so buying used is a crap shoot.

I had to replace my inside third brake light as well.....I think this should be a safety issue....Half the time people aren't aware that they are not working, and in New Jersey, the police will definitely stop you if your brake lights are not working properly.

I was able to get a replacement thru the Nissan dealership I was working at. Cost me $100 for the complete assembly, and I replaced it myself in less than 2 minutes....... One dealer told me 435 w/ labor due to having to remove the entire back seat to access the harness. Another told me 240 just for the part.

I believe this is a complete rip off on Infiniti's part.....I would rather just have the old simple bulbs....at least they only cost a buck if they burn out.

I really think this is a defect issue on either a resistor or a bad supplier for the LED's.

Good luck.

I make replacement led boards that are voltage regulated as well that will last years longer than factory . Also cuts down cost of buying a whole new housing with led board .Problem with factory is that they are just current regulated with low rated resistors for the snap leds and leds are being a little overpowered . Usually a led will burn out and then fry the resistors. This is because the resistors now need to dissapate a lot more heat from the led burning out .

i showed my boyfriend the steps on how to get to it thru the trunk but we didnt want to drill anything. it was cold and i actually went inside while he got to the light, but he didnt have to drill he just fiddled around long enough. but what my problem was, was what am i going to replace it with? eventually i went to pepboys and got a ribbon of led lights, like the tacky runner lights to put under ur headlights or something. just ripped the old system off the plastic housing for the lights and put the ribbon around.
